treat yourself with care —

You (and your Nervous System) just experienced quite a rollercoaster .

You might find that you feel extra relaxed following the cold exposure as you’ve entered into your parasympathetic state. It’s best to ride this wave and bring your day or night to a calm and low-energy place.

Take a look at the list below to ensure your transition into your night, week, and newly conditioned Nervous System, is as seamless as possible:

 
 

What to include —


  • carbohydrate-heavy meal to ground you

  • slow, warm shower to bring up your temperature

  • meditation, journaling session or a conversation with a friend about your experience — tapping into the sensations physically + mentally

  • early bedtime or nap

What to avoid —


  • screen time or mindless scrolling

  • staying up late, fighting your urge to rest

  • heading directly into a high-energy environment

  • alcohol or other altering substances

  • work or other highly-stimulating activities
